marl. is a small team of skilled craftspeople based in South East London. With a background in both design and making, our planters are the result of our passion for creating functional forms combined with our love for gardening and all things plants.

When designing our own gardens, we often struggled to find planters that were both aesthetically pleasing and not mass-produced or overly traditional. We wanted something modern, visually striking, and design-driven, while also providing the perfect environment for plants to flourish. This led to the creation of marl.

Our planters are handcrafted in small batches, made from a mineral composite. Each layer of the process is reinforced for added strength, making the planters very tough despite their delicate appearance. For their size, they are also incredibly lightweight for ease of handling when moving.

At marl., we strive for sustainability by minimising waste and using long-lasting, durable materials. This ensures our planters are built to endure, contributing to a more sustainable future.
